About me, myself and I

Hi, my name is Kimberly, and I was born in Zurich, Switzerland. In 2017, I set out on my first solo trip in Peru. I bought a one-way ticket to Lima, not knowing where I was going next. I was only 20 years old and had just received my diploma as a pharmacy specialist. After four years of studying, I needed a break. I wanted to see the world and explore what was out there. But before jumping into this big adventure on my own, I went on an Interrail with two friends through Europe to get a bit of that travel experience already.

Later on, as I landed in Peru, I immediately fell in love with the country. I ended up traveling through South America for almost 8 months. When I came back, I knew I wanted to travel again as soon as possible. I started working in a pharmacy to get some money again, then the COVID pandemic hit and laid my plans on ice. As soon as the majority of countries opened up again, I packed my bags and bought a one-way ticket to Cancun, Mexico.

There I was, 5 years later, traveling solo through Latin America again for 8 months, and I decided, Why not create a travel blog to capture and share my adventures with like-minded people?
